Safeguarding Support Limited (previously Yvonne Sinclair Consultancy) has been established since 2015 offering a range of bespoke safeguarding support options. From a whole range of specific safeguarding training sessions to audits and policy reviews. 2017 saw the Company winning Keighley and Airedale Business Awards – New Business of the Year and special recognition for Small Business of the Year. In 2019 we were named as Leading Specialists in Safeguarding Audits 2019 and in January 2021 we were named in the Digital Enterprise TOP 100, Leeds City Region’s most innovative, digitally transformational and resilient businesses for 2020 all of which we are very proud.
Specialising in safeguarding compliance for educational and early years settings, we support multi-academy trusts, academy, maintained and independent schools as well as private nurseries and childminders. In addition, we also support those organisation who provide services to children, young people and vulnerable adults.
The company is led by Yvonne Sinclair, a well-respected safeguarding consultant who has a wealth of safeguarding and child protection experience, having developed the role of National Safeguarding Officer for a national children’s charity. In that role she was responsible for leading on and developing safeguarding compliance, policy and training.
In 2015 Yvonne went independent, expanding her support within maintained schools. This soon led to supporting independent academies and multi-academy trusts, not for profit and housing associations with all aspects of their safeguarding requirements to ensure compliance. 2018 saw Safeguarding Support Limited expanding our team of focused and passionate professionals and moving into our offices in Bingley town centre, where we also have our own dedicated training facilities. Yvonne is AET qualified, holds the sector acknowledged NSPCC ‘Certification of Competence for Child Protection and Safeguarding’, trained in child protection by the NSPCC, an accredited trainer to deliver Safer Recruitment by the Safer Recruitment Consortium, a member of the Association of Child Protection Professionals (formerly BASPCAN), Child Protection in Education (CAPE) and National Association of Designated Safeguard Leads (NADSL).
We know that with the constant changing of statutory legislation and best practice the understanding and clarity of the roles and responsibilities within the safeguarding team of practitioners is often confusing. Therefore, there has never been a more important time to invest in professional safeguarding support to ensure child and staff safety as well as organisational compliance. Our aim is to ‘simplify safeguarding‘, provide straightforward and cost-effective safeguarding advice and support.
We remain passionate about working and supporting others and as such Yvonne dedicates a percentage of time to volunteering.
