ALL adults who interact with students have a responsibility to safeguard and promote their welfare. Under the Children Act 2004, organisations are required to protect the well-being of children and young people, ensuring that staff are competent, confident, and fully aware of safe practices when working with children.
The updated Guidance for Safer Working Practice for Those Working with Children and Young People in Education Settings provides crucial guidance for establishing safe cultures within settings.
The course considers low-level concern scenarios, and why and how these should be recognised and addressed.
