Description
Keeping Children Safe in Education states that education staff are well placed to observe children day-to-day and identify those whose behaviour suggests they may be experiencing a mental health problem or be at risk of developing one. Where children have suffered abuse and neglect or other potentially traumatic adverse childhood experience, this can have a lasting impact on their behaviour and education.
This interactive course has been developed in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Governance Handbook and Inspecting Safeguarding in Early Years, Education and Skills.
A 2-hour whole school session that uses videos and interactive workshops to increase the confidence of all staff in understanding the impact of adverse experiences and identify concerns of mental health.
Available for onsite and virtual delivery.
