There are many eLearning DSL courses available at varying costs per learner. We believe ours is different as it not only gives learners all the same content and support as our highly acclaimed face-to-face or live virtual courses, it also provides them with email access to ask a question or request clarification on any of the content by emailing directly to one of our friendly and approachable team members who will simplify and support you!
To provide MAT’s, governors, schools, senior leaders and practitioners assurance, evidence of learning and understanding of duties and responsibilities, there is a final assessment with a required pass rate of a minimum of 80%.

I am new to my school and not sure which course to sign up to, what’s the difference between the Designated Safeguarding Lead New to Role and the Designated Safeguarding Lead 2 Yearly Update courses you currently offer on the eLearning platform?
The Designated Safeguarding Lead New to Role gives a comprehensive introduction into the key responsibilities of the DSL role. It’s designed for those taking on or looking to become your setting’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, Deputy Safeguarding Lead or member of the Safeguarding Team.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead 2 Year Update is for those who have completed Designated Safeguarding Lead New to Role or Designated Safeguarding Lead safeguarding training within the past two years. It is designed to refresh and update Designated Safeguarding, Deputy Safeguarding Leads around the broad areas of responsibilities and activities related to their roles in accordance with the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Statutory Framework for Early Years, Prevent Duty and more.

You can access the eLearning platform at any time which is convenient to you. We have designed it to give you the flexibility to work around your professional and personal commitments. Don’t just take our word for it, this is one recent learner told us:

Will it just be hours of reading?
Definitely not…. we have designed the course to be interactive and engaging. You’ll find 20+ expert videos introducing to the key safeguarding concepts plus a tons of interactive learning activities to increase your knowledge. At the end of each module, you will complete an assessment to test your understanding of key concepts of that module.
Once I start the course how long do I have to complete it?
The course must be completed within 90 days of commencement, and upon successful completion and assessment you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
What if I have a question around some of the content?
Don’t worry you can email our friendly and approachable team on admin@safeguardingsupport.com and they will respond to your question, usually between 8.30am and 4pm the same day but certainly within 24 hours.
