Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training is fully compliant with the criteria as laid out in Keeping Children Safe in Education and as described in the previous level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead level system.

Learners can work through the course at their own pace, either at home or in their workplace, reducing the need to find role cover and pay overtime or travel costs. This means these courses offer excellent value for money in over-stretched budgets!
There are many e-Learning DSL courses available at varying costs per learner. We believe ours is different as it not only gives learners all the same content and support as our highly acclaimed face-to-face or live virtual courses, it also provides learners with email access to ask a question or request clarification on any of the content by emailing directly one of our friendly and approachable team members who will simplify safeguarding and offer support.
In order to provide MAT’s, governors, schools, senior leaders and practitioners with assurance and evidence learning and understanding of duties and responsibilities, there is a final assessment with a required pass rate of a minimum of 80%.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) New to Role course gives a comprehensive introduction into the key responsibilities of the DSL. It’s designed for those taking on or looking to become your setting’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) or member of the Safeguarding Team.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead 2 Year Update is for those who have completed Designated Safeguarding Lead New to Role or Designated Safeguarding Lead safeguarding training within the past two years. It is designed to refresh and update DSLs and DDSLs around the broad areas of responsibilities and activities related to their roles in accordance with the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Statutory Framework for Early Years, Prevent Duty and other key safeguarding documents.
Our eLearning platform is accessible through desktop, laptop, tablets and mobile devices.
You can access the e-Learning platform at any time convenient to you. We have designed it to give you the flexibility to work around your professional and personal commitments.

Definitely not…! We have designed the course to be interactive and engaging. You’ll find 20+ expert videos introducing you to key safeguarding concepts plus lots of interactive learning activities to increase your knowledge. At the end of each module, you will complete an assessment to test your understanding of key concepts within that module.
The course must be completed within 90 days of commencement, and upon successful completion and assessment you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
