Description
This training will strengthen your skills and knowledge around the statutory and best practice referral processes within the safeguarding and child protection arena.
We use an interactive workshop approach, scenario and breakout practices.
Training content covers:

In-depth awareness of emerging signs, indicators, themes and targets of child abuse and neglect e.g.

Awareness around the benefits for restorative and conversational approaches

Understanding and using the Continuum/Threshold of Needs, and gaining consent to make a referral

Guidance on ‘what happens next’ once a referral has been accepted by children’s services.

Participants will receive an online assessment to demonstrate understanding of how practitioners should discharge their roles and responsibilities, an Information Booklet which includes links to statutory and best practice guidance, access to free online training, and a Participation Certificate.

Prerequisites
